The learning curve is going to take most of your time at first. You can shorten that also by finding a company to join that has online marketing training or a mentor as your sponsor.
Another benefit of a online business is that you can work on your schedule one hour a day. Once you build it and fill the world wide web up with your information it stays, which means traffic. There are litterly thousands of ways to create free traffic to your website.
Don't give up. Most people think that they are going to start a home based business online and be working for their self in a few months. It is going to take longer than that especially if you are trying to generate traffic with the free resources. Give it at least one year and you will be getting excited because the traffic is coming and you have learned a lot about Internet marketing.
